Laura Camila is a Director of Marketing and Communications with experience in Process Design, Event Planning, and Content Creation. As a social media and email marketing certified sage, Laura maintains multiple digital communities of practice and garners brand awareness for organizations as a freelancer, volunteer, and ambassador for topics of personal interest such as change leadership, equity, art development, and productivity. Laura has served as the Director of Marketing at ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals for America) Boston, a member of the governance board at Now+There--a public art curator, Alumni Member at Delta Phi Epsilon's DEI Committee, and Director of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion at the Young Nonprofits Professional Network of Boston, working to bring community-centered fundraising, change leadership, and policy change to non-profit organizations in the Northeast. In addition to co-founding the Northeastern Student of Color Caucus (NSCC), which works to apply critical race theory to higher education, she was also a founding member of the Students for Puerto Rico Movement and Executive Director of Marketing & Fundraising for the National Puerto Rican Student Caucus, both entities which span across the US and aim to connect the Puertorican Diaspora to initiatives on the island. Currently, she is recognized as a member of the Boston Chamber of Commerce's Future Leaders Cohort, which provides emerging leaders with socially conscious and civically engaged leadership tools, and a member of the New American Leaders Ready to Lead program, a movement for inclusive democracy by preparing first and second-generation Americans to run, win and lead.
In her free time, she presents on the topic of Productivity, Creative Branding & Marketing Innovation via CAMI Studio, LLC.
